Link / NPO Product Line Manager
Role Summary
Lead product strategy and execution for the Link/NPO product line focused on high-speed optical links for GPU interconnects. Collaborate with engineering, customers, and partners to define roadmaps, author MRDs, and drive adoption through sampling and pilots.
Primary mission: address GPU-to-GPU and GPU-to-memory bandwidth bottlenecks by delivering commercially viable silicon-photonics link products aligned to OCI-MSA standards.
Experience Level
Senior — 10+ years of product management or technical marketing experience in semiconductor, photonics, or optical networking.
Responsibilities
Own product definition, lifecycle, and market positioning from MRD through customer pilots and launch.
- Define product roadmap and author Market Requirements Documents addressing link-level bandwidth bottlenecks.
- Translate MRDs into detailed Product Requirements in partnership with engineering leadership.
- Manage early sampling programs and pilot customer engagements to drive adoption and gather feedback.
- Develop business cases aligning cost, power, and performance targets with OCI-MSA standards.
- Position the product against legacy technologies and communicate competitive advantages of silicon photonics.
- Coordinate with supply-chain and OSAT partners to ensure manufacturability and scale-up readiness.
Requirements
Key qualifications and skills required or preferred for the role.
- Must-have: 10+ years of product management or technical marketing experience within semiconductor, photonics, or optical networking sectors.
- Must-have: Deep commercial understanding of high-speed Optical Links, Optical Engines (OE), and OCI-MSA architectures.
- Must-have: Strong technical communication skills and proven ability to bridge link-level engineering with multidisciplinary teams and customers.
- Nice-to-have: Prior product leadership experience at tier-1 semiconductor or networking companies (e.g., Intel, Broadcom, Marvell, Cisco).
- Nice-to-have: Experience translating optoelectronic performance (e.g., 800G–1.6T+ per lane) into clear customer value propositions.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with cross-functional collaboration, ecosystem strategy, and coordinating with OSAT/supply-chain partners for 2.5D or co-packaged optical systems.
