Link/NPO PLM
Xscape PhotonicsJob Title
Link/NPO PLM
Role Summary
Lead product management for optical link products addressing GPU-to-GPU and GPU-to-memory bandwidth bottlenecks. Own the product roadmap, produce Market Requirements Documents (MRDs), manage early sampling and pilot customer engagements, and align product targets to industry OCI-MSA standards.
Work closely with engineering, customers, and supply-chain partners to drive adoption and position the product against legacy electrical solutions.
Experience Level
Senior β 10+ years of product management or technical marketing experience in the semiconductor, photonics, or optical networking sectors.
Responsibilities
The role focuses on product strategy, customer engagement during sampling and pilots, and preparing the product for market launch.
- Define product roadmap and author comprehensive MRDs targeting bandwidth bottlenecks in GPU interconnects.
- Manage product lifecycle from early sampling through pilot adoption and initial customer deployments.
- Develop business cases aligning cost, power, and performance targets with OCI-MSA standards.
- Position the product versus legacy technologies and communicate competitive advantages to customers and partners.
- Coordinate cross-functionally with engineering, supply-chain, and manufacturing partners to ensure readiness for integration and scale.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience required for the role.
- 10+ years of product management or technical marketing experience in semiconductor, photonics, or optical networking.
- Deep commercial understanding of high-speed Optical Links, Optical Engines (OE), and OCI-MSA architectures.
- Strong technical communication skills with experience translating link-level concepts across multi-disciplinary engineering teams and external customers.
- Proven ability to manage sampling engagements and work with pilot customers to drive adoption.
- Nice to have: prior product leadership at tier-1 semiconductor or networking companies (e.g., Intel, Broadcom, Marvell, Cisco).
- Nice to have: experience with ecosystem strategy, OSAT partners, 2.5D integration, or co-packaged optics supply-chain readiness.
- Nice to have: ability to translate optoelectronic performance (e.g., 800Gβ1.6T+ per lane) into customer value propositions.
Education Requirements
