Lead Verification Methodologist
Role Summary
Lead verification methodology development and verification strategy for complex digital IPs and SoCs. Collaborate with RTL designers, verification engineers, and EDA/tool teams to define verification plans, develop reusable flows, and ensure silicon quality.
Position is based in Synopsys Bengaluru engineering organization and focuses on technical leadership, verification flow development, and process/tool improvements.
Experience Level
Senior; typically requires 8+ years of relevant verification experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Define and implement verification methodologies and best practices across projects.
- Architect verification strategies and plans for IP and SoC development.
- Develop UVM-based verification environments, testbenches, and assertion checks.
- Automate regression, coverage collection, and result analysis.
- Collaborate with RTL designers, DV teams, and tools teams to debug and close coverage gaps.
- Mentor and lead verification engineers; perform design and verification reviews.
- Drive reuse, standardization, and verification tool adoption.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred qualifications:
- Must-have: Strong experience in functional verification of digital designs, including UVM/SystemVerilog and assertion-based verification.
- Must-have: Proficiency in scripting (Python, Tcl, Perl) and experience with regression and coverage methodologies.
- Must-have: Demonstrated leadership or technical lead experience on verification teams.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with emulation, prototyping, formal verification, or SoC-level verification.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with EDA verification tools and flows.
