Lead Verification Engineer - High-Speed Protocol
Role Summary
Lead verification for Data Center Networking IPs, subsystems, or system-level designs focused on high-performance networking used in AI and data-center applications. Drive verification strategy, architecture, methodology, and execution while collaborating with architects, designers, and cross-functional teams.
Experience Level
Senior β 7+ years of hands-on IP/SoC/ASIC verification experience.
Responsibilities
Lead technical verification activities and ensure delivery of robust, coverage-driven verification for complex networking designs.
- Architect and implement scalable testbench infrastructure and verification environments.
- Develop SystemVerilog/UVM environments, reusable components, sequences, and assertions.
- Create and execute verification plans, coverage plans, and regression suites; define and analyze coverage metrics.
- Run regressions, debug failures, perform root-cause analysis, and manage regression health.
- Automate verification flows and productivity improvements using scripting (Python/Perl).
- Provide technical feedback during architecture discussions and influence verification approach early in the design cycle.
- Support board-level debug and validation when required.
- Mentor junior engineers and drive verification process and methodology improvements.
Requirements
Must-have skills and preferred qualifications.
- 7+ years of hands-on experience in IP/SoC/ASIC verification with technical leadership responsibilities.
- Proven experience with high-speed and complex protocols such as PCIe, Ethernet, CXL, RoCE, and NVMe-oF.
- Strong SystemVerilog and UVM expertise; experience building block-level and multi-block verification environments.
- Experience creating verification and test plans, writing assertions, and driving coverage-driven verification.
- Skilled in regression management, debugging, and validation workflows.
- Proficiency in scripting for automation (Python or Perl).
- Strong communication, ownership, collaboration skills, and experience mentoring team members.
- Nice-to-have: familiarity with AMBA protocols (AXI, APB) and exposure to AI-assisted verification tools.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field.
