Lead Software Engineer — Jasper R&D
Role Summary
Lead engineer on the Jasper Clock Domain Crossing (CDC) team within System Verification. The role focuses on testing, validating and deploying Jasper CDC features and collaborating with R&D and customers to diagnose and resolve issues.
Experience Level
Senior level. The posting expects 5+ years of applicable software development or verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary technical and team responsibilities include:
- Develop and run tests, validate results, and deploy enhancements for Jasper CDC features.
- Analyze software issues, gather diagnostics and produce actionable reports for R&D.
- Collaborate with R&D and customer teams to review test results and define next steps.
- Debug, maintain and improve C++/Unix-based verification software and test harnesses.
- Communicate findings clearly in written and verbal form to cross-functional teams.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and qualities:
- Strong knowledge of advanced data structures and algorithms.
- Solid object-oriented programming skills and proven C++ development experience.
- Experience working in a Unix/Linux environment.
- Professional-level written and verbal English communication skills.
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work with distributed teams and customers.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with version control systems.
- Scripting experience (Tcl or Python).
- Knowledge or experience with formal verification or simulation.
- Familiarity with EDA and VLSI design, including Verilog or VHDL.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's (BS) or Master’s (MS) degree in Engineering or Computer Science is required (as stated). The posting also specifies 5+ years of applicable experience.
