Role Summary

Join the Sigrity R&D team to design and implement high-performance electromagnetic field solvers and related software used in signal/power integrity and EMI/EMC analysis. Deliver robust, scalable solver components that integrate into Cadence's broader product ecosystem.

Work on complex simulation problems that impact advanced semiconductor design workflows.

Experience Level

Senior — hiring at a lead/senior level. Qualification guidance: MS + 3 years relevant experience or PhD (no additional experience required).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Design, develop, and optimize high-performance algorithms and software components.
• Develop and enhance electromagnetic field solvers for large-scale, complex systems.
• Improve performance, accuracy, and scalability of simulation tools.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver robust, production-quality software.
• Participate in architecture and technical decision-making for next-generation products.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

• Strong foundation in computational electromagnetics and circuit theory.
• Proficiency in C++ and experience with performance-critical software development.
• Experience developing and maintaining electromagnetic field solvers.
• Working knowledge of signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI), EMI, and EMC.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with large-scale numerical methods, parallelism, and performance tuning.
• Prior experience in EDA or simulation product development.

Education Requirements

MS in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics or a related field plus 3 years of relevant experience, or a PhD in those fields (no additional experience required). Related technical degrees are acceptable.
