Role Summary

Join the Palladium emulator compiler team to design and implement compiler and precompiler features for a large-scale emulation platform. The team focuses on logic optimization, distributed databases, and scalable compile performance.

The role involves applying multi-threading and distributed computing techniques, implementing C/C++ solutions, and collaborating across engineering teams to improve compile throughput and reliability.

Experience Level

Senior - lead-level role (title indicates senior/lead). Cadence lists MS + 2 years or Ph.D. as the educational baseline.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Design and implement compiler and precompiler features for the Palladium emulator platform.
• Develop and optimize multi-threaded and distributed compile systems for logic optimization and large datasets.
• Implement and maintain database interfaces and distributed data components used by the compiler.
• Write, review, and maintain high-quality C/C++ code; debug using gdb and related tools.
• Collaborate on build, version control, and Linux-based development workflows.
• Integrate and test HDL-related toolchains and electronic design platform interfaces.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and databases.
• Proficiency in C++ and experience using gdb for debugging.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix development environments.
• Experience with build systems and version-control workflows.
• Exposure to electronic design platforms and HDL toolchains.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with multi-threading, distributed computing, and scalable compile or build systems.
• Background in compiler development, logic optimization, or distributed database design.
• Experience with EDA/emulation tools and large-scale verification flows.

Education Requirements

MS in engineering, computer science, or a related field with 2 years of experience, or a Ph.D. in engineering, computer science, or a related field. Coursework in Hardware Description Languages such as Verilog, SystemVerilog, or VHDL is noted.
