SyntharaJob Title
Lead Software Engineer
Role Summary
Lead the software group responsible for making ComputeRAM® usable across targets from microcontrollers to accelerators. Set strategy and own hands-on delivery across drivers, compiler paths, code generation, kernels, benchmarking, and the SDK.
Work closely with hardware engineers and early customers to turn silicon capability into a developer-facing product, provide feedback to hardware designers, and establish quality and documentation standards.
Experience Level
Senior — 7+ years (systems, compilers, or embedded)
Responsibilities
Manage and deliver the software stack and developer experience for ComputeRAM, coordinating across hardware and product teams.
- Own delivery and quality of software deliverables; prioritize work and distribute tasks across the team.
- Ensure correct information exchange between hardware and software teams; lead hardware/software co-design interactions.
- Define and implement programming model, drivers, kernels, examples, and packaging for developer use.
- Set compiler development priorities and drive code generation and compiler paths to meet customer needs.
- Create integration kits and reference designs for MCU and accelerator targets, with ready-to-build examples and documentation.
- Grow and mentor the team: hiring, reviews, setting ownership boundaries, and enforcing engineering standards.
- Provide actionable feedback to hardware designers to simplify usage and improve system performance.
- Establish benchmarking and profiling practices to measure latency and energy improvements across releases.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience.
- 7+ years building low-level software or compilers; proven track record shipping complete projects end-to-end.
- Strong C++ and Python skills.
- Experience with product roadmaps, technical reviews, and planning tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project); ability to produce development plans from top-level goals.
- Hands-on experience with at least one of: MLIR/LLVM passes, code generation, graph compilers, or high-performance DSP libraries.
- Ability to read hardware specifications, define clean APIs, and negotiate trade-offs between software and hardware design.
Nice-to-have.
- Experience integrating with TensorFlow Lite for Micro.
- Experience packaging software for external developers and MCU bring-up toolchains.
