Lead SoC Validation Architect

Role Summary

Lead the validation strategy and architecture for next-generation SoC products within the Systems Design Engineering team. Deliver scalable validation methodologies, debug capabilities, and automation across bring-up, validation, and production phases.

Work cross-functionally with silicon, firmware, hardware, and platform teams to improve quality, reliability, and time-to-market. Role based in Austin, TX with a hybrid work arrangement.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on improving validation efficiency, enabling robust debug, and leading cross-team technical efforts.

• Define and drive validation methodologies, test infrastructure, and automation frameworks for SoC programs.
• Develop tools and scripts to improve validation throughput and repeatability.
• Lead system-level debug during bring-up, validation, and production to resolve complex platform issues.
• Plan and track test execution to ensure feature coverage and product readiness.
• Collaborate with silicon, firmware, board, and platform teams to prioritize and resolve issues.
• Use lab instrumentation and modeling frameworks to analyze behavior and optimize designs.
• Drive cross-functional initiatives to improve validation quality, reliability, and automation adoption.

Requirements

Key technical skills and attributes required for success in this role.

• Proficient in programming/scripting such as C/C++, Python, Perl, or Ruby.
• Extensive experience with board/platform-level debug, delivery sequencing, and optimization.
• Hands-on use of lab equipment (protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.)
• Deep knowledge of system architecture, validation strategy, and debug methodologies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail; self-starter able to drive tasks to completion.
• Ability to lead and influence cross-disciplinary engineering teams.
• Must be located in Austin, TX and authorized to work in the United States; this role is not eligible for visa sponsorship.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering.
