Role Summary
Lead Server Systems Debug Engineer on the Server Systems Debug Engineering team responsible for system, firmware and SoC-level debug, validation and root-cause analysis for server products. Works cross-functionally to drive debug strategy, tooling, and methodology to improve product quality and delivery.
High-visibility role focused on technical problem solving, automation, and coordinating with hardware, firmware and software teams to resolve complex issues.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include system-level debug, validation and driving technical improvements across tools and methodologies.
- Develop debug and validation tools, scripts, and automation to improve lab and test capabilities.
- Debug issues during bring-up, validation, and production phases of SoC and server platform programs.
- Perform board/platform-level analysis, sequencing, and optimization.
- Use lab equipment such as protocol/logic analyzers and oscilloscopes for signal-level debug.
- Collaborate with SoC, firmware, software, manufacturing, and test teams to identify root causes and deploy fixes.
- Track test execution and feature validation to meet delivery schedules.
- Participate in system modeling and cross-functional technical initiatives.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and candidate expectations.
- Extensive board/platform-level debug and validation experience.
- Deep understanding of system architecture and debug/validation strategy.
- Experience with lab instrumentation: protocol/logic analyzers, oscilloscopes, etc.
- Programming/scripting in one or more of: C/C++, Perl, Ruby, Python.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; attention to detail and persistence.
- Self-starter able to drive complex tasks to completion with limited supervision.
- Ability to work cross-functionally and lead collaborative efforts across teams.
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering highly preferred.
