Lead Product Engineer
Role Summary
Lead Product Engineer on the Static Timing Analysis (STA) team responsible for developing and deploying signoff tools and features (Cadence Tempus or equivalent). The role focuses on defining requirements, writing specifications for enhancements, and working closely with R&D and customers to mature product capabilities.
Experience Level
Senior — 4–7 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Lead STA-related product engineering: design, validate, and deploy signoff flows and features.
- Develop and implement Basic ECO features and ECO workflows in the signoff flow.
- Write clear specifications for tool enhancements and drive requirements through R&D.
- Collaborate with R&D, product teams, and customers to prioritize and deliver features.
- Provide engineering input for product maturation and release activities.
Requirements
Must-have skills and attributes:
- Hands-on experience with STA methodologies and timing signoff flows.
- Familiarity with Basic ECO features and ECO implementation in signoff flows.
- Experience writing technical specifications and translating customer requirements into product features.
- Proven ability to work closely with R&D and cross-functional teams; strong communication skills.
- Team player with a passion for product quality and customer-driven development.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with Tempus or other commercial signoff tools and deployment in customer environments.
- Customer-facing experience gathering requirements or providing technical support for signoff flows.
Education Requirements
B.E./B.Tech or M.E./M.Tech in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication, Computer Science, or a closely related technical field; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
