Role Summary
Lead a Research & Development team responsible for analog and mixed-signal integrated circuit IP with emphasis on high-performance data converters for digitally controlled power systems. Provide technical leadership from concept through production and ensure integration of analog/MMIC IP into larger systems.
Location-specific wage disclosure (United States): El Segundo, CA $190,200β$261,600 per year. Eligible to participate in an incentive plan.
Experience Level
Senior β requires 15+ years of experience in analog mixed-signal IC design, particularly data converters.
Responsibilities
You will lead design efforts, coordinate cross-functional work, and ensure delivery of production-ready AMS IP.
- Manage a small-to-medium team of mixed-signal IC designers; provide technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching.
- Define and evaluate optimal data-converter architectures for digitally controlled power systems in collaboration with digital, systems, and application teams.
- Oversee development of data converters and other AMS IP from specification through silicon and production release.
- Provide technical leadership in ADC development: architecture, circuit design, layout, verification, and testing.
- Establish methodologies and processes to ensure seamless integration of analog/mixed-signal ICs into larger system designs.
- Drive achievement of performance, quality, and production targets for high-volume IP.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience.
- 15+ years of analog mixed-signal IC design experience with a focus on data converters.
- Proven track record delivering high-performance AMS IP into high-volume production.
- Hands-on experience in ADC architecture, circuit design, layout considerations, and silicon bring-up/testing.
- Expertise in analytical and behavioral modeling tools such as MATLAB/Simulink and languages/tools like C, SystemVerilog, Verilog, or VHDL.
- Experience managing, mentoring, and developing engineering teams.
- Ability to communicate technical information effectively to stakeholders across a multinational organization.
- Strong awareness of industry trends and emerging technologies in data converters and AMS design.
Education Requirements
Advanced degree specified: MSEE or PhD (as listed in the posting).
