Job Title

Lead MTS Analog Engineer

Role Summary

Lead analog/mixed-signal engineer on the Memory Interface Chip team based in San Jose. Responsible for design ownership and integration of analog blocks and IO ESD/LU/EOS across multiple products, floorplanning, package bonding, and coordination with digital, package, lab/validation and cross-functional teams.

This is a hybrid role with an expectation of approximately three days onsite per week.

Experience Level

Senior-level (lead). Years of experience not specified.

Responsibilities

Primary accountabilities for chip- and block-level analog design, integration, verification, and cross-team coordination.

  • Design and maintain centralized IO ESD/LU/EOS circuitry across multiple products.
  • Create chip-/block-level floorplans and collaborate with mask/layout designers.
  • Work with package engineering to produce bonding diagrams.
  • Own analog/mixed-signal designs and chip-level integration activities.
  • Define and validate analog/digital interfaces with digital teams.
  • Design, simulate and characterize analog circuits (e.g., bandgap, bias, LDO, IO, DC-DC buck, etc.).
  • Produce and maintain test documentation; support lab validation, silicon bring-up, and characterization.
  • Support design documentation and post-silicon activities.
  • Coordinate with geographically distributed cross-functional teams to ensure execution.

Requirements

Essential technical skills and leadership attributes for the role.

  • Must-have: Deep understanding of process-device ESD/LU/EOS behavior.
  • Must-have: Strong knowledge of ERC/DRC/LVS and physical verification considerations.
  • Must-have: Experience designing and characterizing analog/mixed-signal circuits (bandgap, LDOs, IO circuits, DC-DC, etc.).
  • Must-have: Ability to perform mixed-mode/top-level simulation and competence with fast simulators; familiarity with tools such as CustomSim, XPS, or AMS is desirable.
  • Must-have: Effective written and verbal communication; ability to work in cross-functional and globally distributed teams.
  • Nice-to-have: Prior experience leading projects through completion and production.
  • Nice-to-have: Direct experience with DDR products is a strong plus.

Education Requirements

Not specified.
