Lead Logic Design Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for architecting and implementing high-speed digital logic blocks and control for complex IP. The role focuses on RTL design of datapaths and control logic and delivering verified, implementation-ready hardware.
Works within the digital logic design team and partners closely with verification and physical-design teams to meet functional, performance, and power targets.
Experience Level
Senior — typically 7+ years of experience in high-speed datapath design.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Translate system-level requirements into hardware block-level specifications.
- Design digital logic and develop RTL for high-speed datapaths and control blocks.
- Collaborate with verification and physical-design teams through verification and implementation phases.
- Review and contribute to test plans and verification activities.
- Perform RTL-level power estimation and analysis.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Strong experience in micro-architecting and designing high-speed products.
- Protocol experience with USB3.2, DisplayPort, MIPI, or Ethernet.
- Expertise in datapath design, aggregation, and finite-state machines (FSMs).
- Experience with digital design flows including low-power (UPF), CDC, synthesis, DFT, place & route, and timing closure.
- RTL design using Verilog and SystemVerilog.
- Knowledge of the complete RTL-to-GDS design implementation flow.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics Engineering.
