Lead Engineer, Manufacturing Product
Role Summary
The Lead Manufacturing Product Engineer designs and implements automation, AI/ML, and data-driven solutions to improve manufacturing efficiency, quality, and predictability for sensor and power IC production. This role sits at the intersection of semiconductor manufacturing, process engineering, and digital transformation and works cross-functionally with design engineering and project management.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on architecting automation and ensuring stable, efficient production processes.
- Design and deploy end-to-end automation, data pipelines, and AI/ML solutions into production manufacturing workflows.
- Build predictive machine-learning models and integrate them with operational systems to optimize sequencing and throughput.
- Develop and maintain fabrication and assembly processes, operational sequences, time standards, and manufacturing cost estimates for NPI.
- Lead technical aspects of cross-functional digital transformation projects and coordinate milestones with project managers.
- Integrate automation tools, cloud platforms, and AI pipelines; ensure cybersecurity compliance and manage Change Management Board submissions.
- Perform user acceptance testing (UAT), provide troubleshooting and sustainment for deployed solutions, and produce training materials.
- Generate and update major technical documentation affected by new processes and tools.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and domain experience.
- Extensive hands-on experience with Automatic Test Equipment (ATE) repair and product/equipment characterization using basic statistical methods and SPC.
- Practical knowledge of advanced statistical techniques for machine assessment such as MSA and FMEA.
- Experience deploying automation and cloud-based solutions in a manufacturing environment and integrating AI/ML into production.
- Proven ability to perform UAT, sustainment, troubleshooting, and to create training and technical documentation for end-users.
- Experience estimating manufacturing costs, defining time standards, and recommending tooling for new product introductions (NPI).
- Ability to lead cross-functional teams and coordinate with design engineering and project management.
- Nice-to-have: hands-on experience with cybersecurity governance for manufacturing systems and formal change control processes.
Education Requirements
Higher diploma or degree in Electronics, Electrical, or Computer Engineering, or equivalent semiconductor industry experience.
