Role Summary

The Lead Engineer will work with a team at Siemens EDA, focusing on hardware accelerator design and microarchitecture. This role involves collaborating with algorithm architects to derive architecture decisions and implementing low-power custom hardware accelerators.

Experience Level

Mid-level, requiring 5-10 years of experience in RTL design.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities include:

  • Develop, test, maintain, and optimize design IPs for power, performance, and area.
  • Implement functionality in SystemC/C++ ensuring adherence to performance goals.
  • Conduct power, area, and performance trade-off analyses for efficient solutions.
  • Utilize High-Level Synthesis (HLS) for rapid implementation evaluations.
  • Drive coverage closure and meet sign-off criteria for IPs in a verification environment.
  • Document architectural and implementation choices comprehensively.

Requirements

Key requirements for the position include:

  • 5-10 years of experience in RTL design (Verilog, SystemVerilog).
  • Bachelor's/Master's degree or PhD with relevant experience preferred.
  • Proven ability to translate complex DSP algorithms into Micro/RTL architecture.
  • Proficiency in C/C++/Python/Bash coding languages.
  • Experience with High-Level Synthesis (HLS) is a significant advantage.
  • Knowledge of basic processor architecture and full ASIC design cycle is preferred.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's, Master’s degree, or PhD in a relevant field preferred.
