Job Title

Lead Engineer – IC Verification

Role Summary

Lead verification of complex digital RTL blocks within modem baseband and PHY-layer subsystems for Wi‑Fi and low-power IoT SoCs. Focus on ensuring functional correctness, performance, and reliability of modem IP through robust verification environments.

Collaborate with RTL designers, modem system engineers, verification engineers, and SoC teams to deliver verified IP and enable successful integration into wireless SoCs.

Experience Level

Senior-level; typically 7–15 years of RTL design verification experience, especially with mixed-signal datapath, modem baseband, or PHY-layer modules.

Responsibilities

Lead verification activities for modem digital baseband and PHY-layer IP.

  • Develop and maintain SystemVerilog/UVM verification environments.
  • Design and implement module- and subsystem-level testbenches, including drivers, monitors, agents, scoreboards, and coverage models.
  • Define and execute comprehensive verification plans; drive constrained-random testing and coverage closure.
  • Integrate C-based algorithmic reference models for bit-exact functional verification.
  • Verify mixed-signal datapath and PHY-layer modules and support subsystem-level integration.
  • Debug complex RTL and testbench issues; identify root causes and coordinate fixes with design and system teams.
  • Participate in design reviews, verification planning, and continuous improvement of verification methodologies.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • Strong hands-on expertise in SystemVerilog and UVM verification methodologies.
  • Experience developing UVM testbench components: agents, drivers, monitors, scoreboards, and coverage models.
  • Proven ability with constrained-random verification, functional coverage, and coverage closure.
  • Experience integrating C-based reference models into verification environments.
  • Good understanding of digital communication systems and PHY-layer concepts.
  • Strong debugging, problem-solving, and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Experience verifying complex RTL and mixed-signal datapath modules.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with IEEE 802.11 Wi‑Fi, 4G/5G, or other OFDM-based communication systems.
  • Hands-on experience with DSP blocks such as FFT, FIR filters, correlators, and FEC decoders.
  • Experience with subsystem-level verification and integration of complex IPs into wireless SoCs.
  • Familiarity with AI-assisted tools used to enhance productivity and analysis.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Communication Engineering, or a related technical field.
