Job Title
Lead Engineer - Design Verification (Low power UPF/CPF)
Role Summary
Lead low-power design verification for complex SoCs, validating power intent and low-power features using UPF/CPF methodologies. Work within the Design Verification team and collaborate with RTL, architecture, and physical design teams to ensure robust, power-efficient silicon.
Experience Level
Senior β typically 6β8 years of design verification experience.
Responsibilities
Own end-to-end low-power verification activities across the design lifecycle and drive coverage closure.
- Verify power domains and power intent using UPF/CPF methodologies.
- Develop and execute test plans for low-power modes and states.
- Design, build, and maintain SystemVerilog/UVM testbenches and verification environments.
- Create and validate testcases and assertions; perform RTL/UPF debugging.
- Drive functional and assertion coverage closure.
- Perform power-aware verification and debug complex issues across teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate advanced verification methodologies.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills:
- Strong SystemVerilog and UVM expertise.
- Experience with assertion-based and coverage-driven verification.
- Practical experience with UPF/CPF-based verification and power-aware validation.
- Understanding of low-power SoC constructs: clock gating, isolation, level shifters, retention.
- Proven debugging and problem-solving skills for RTL and power-intent issues.
- Experience developing testbenches, testcases, and assertions end-to-end.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with formal/static verification and Synopsys NLP tools.
- Knowledge of GLS / PA-GLS.
- Scripting skills (Python, Perl) and ASIC tool/flow experience.
- Experience with AI-powered productivity or analysis tools.
