Role Summary

As Lead Designer, Layout in the Advanced Converters Group, you will lead complex IC layout projects, provide technical leadership, and drive layout methodology and process optimizations. You will act as a primary technical resource, mentor junior engineers, and influence architecture and design decisions across the organization.

Experience Level

Senior — preferred 7+ years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

The role focuses on technical leadership and delivery of advanced IC layout projects. Key responsibilities include:

• Lead complex IC layout projects from concept through completion and make critical architecture decisions.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior layout engineers.
• Develop and implement layout methodologies, best practices, and process optimizations.
• Perform advanced process evaluations and optimize designs for manufacturability and performance.
• Coordinate cross-functional technical reviews and influence design decisions across teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and capabilities:

• Advanced technical leadership with demonstrated organizational influence.
• Expert-level proficiency in IC layout and architecture design.
• Experience evaluating and optimizing semiconductor process flows and layouts.
• Proven ability to lead complex technical projects and deliver results.
• Strong communication skills for influencing stakeholders across functions and levels.
• Experience developing and implementing layout methodologies that improve productivity and results.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. The position typically prefers candidates with 7+ years of relevant experience.
