Lead Design Engineer
Role Summary
Lead physical implementation of complex digital/analog-mixed PHY IP and SoC blocks, owning floorplanning, P&R, timing closure and signoff activities. Collaborate with architecture, RTL, verification and CAD teams to develop and improve physical-design methodology and flows.
We work on challenging low-power and high-speed designs; this role may participate in or lead next-generation PHY IP physical design efforts.

Responsibilities
Primary implementation and signoff responsibilities include:
- Floor planning and power-grid design.
- Placement, routing and clock-tree synthesis (CTS).
- Timing closure and STA-driven optimization.
- Power and signal integrity signoff; EM/IR analysis.
- Physical verification: DRC, LVS, antenna checks and DFM closure.
- Participate in or lead PHY IP physical design, and develop related methodology and flows.
- Work on low-power and high-speed design implementation challenges.
Requirements
Must-have technical capabilities and attributes:
- Hands-on experience with full-chip and IP physical implementation flows (floorplan, P&R, CTS, timing closure).
- Experience with power/grid planning, power/signoff flows, EM/IR analysis.
- Familiarity with physical verification (DRC/LVS/antenna) and DFM closure practices.
- Experience developing or improving physical-design methodology and automation flows; able to lead technical efforts.
- Experience with low-power and high-speed design techniques.
