Lead Cloud Software Development Engineer with uArch Expertise - Temporary Position
Role Summary
Lead technical architect and developer for cloud-scale fleet diagnostics, telemetry, quality screening, and customer health monitoring software for Intel Xeon platforms. The role partners with architecture, validation, manufacturing, and customer engineering teams and works directly with hyperscale customers to deliver fleet and scale solutions.
This is a fixed-term position (~24 months) based in Guadalajara, Mexico, requiring on-site presence.
Experience Level
Senior β requires 8+ years of software development experience with at least 3 years leading architecture or large-scale distributed/cloud solutions.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include architecture, development, and cross-functional technical leadership for fleet health and telemetry solutions.
- Lead architecture, design, and development of screening and fleet-health software capabilities.
- Define technical direction and roadmaps for telemetry, diagnostics, observability, and quality screening.
- Design and scale cloud-native platforms for deployment readiness, reliability analytics, and operational monitoring.
- Drive cross-functional execution across architecture, platform validation, manufacturing, and customer engineering.
- Analyze large-scale telemetry and reliability datasets to identify defect signatures and platform health trends.
- Partner with hyperscale cloud customers and strategic partners to capture requirements and deliver solutions.
- Lead root-cause investigations and create scalable screening methodologies for validation and customer environments.
- Improve automation, observability, analytics, and infrastructure for fleet monitoring and operational efficiency.
- Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance across software architecture, diagnostics, and platform health domains.
Requirements

- 8+ years software development experience, with strong proficiency in C/C++ and Python.
- Linux software development experience and expertise in debugging and validation.
- 3+ years designing or delivering scalable software systems, distributed applications, or cloud infrastructure.
- Experience leading software architecture, technical strategy, and cross-functional engineering efforts.
- Understanding of x86/Intel Architecture, server platforms, and system-level software interactions.
- Proven experience with fleet monitoring, telemetry analytics, diagnostics, reliability engineering, or health monitoring solutions.
- Strong hardware/software debug, root-cause analysis, and platform observability skills.
- Customer-focused mindset with experience working directly with cloud providers or enterprise customers.
- Advanced English proficiency for technical communication.
- Must have unrestricted, permanent right to work in Mexico; immigration sponsorship not available.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience. Equivalent practical experience is explicitly acceptable.
