Lead Application Engineer
Role Summary
Provide technical support for digital IC design implementation, product demonstrations, and sales presentations. Work hands-on across RTL-to-GDSII flows with emphasis on low-power and high-performance designs and support technical evaluations.
Lead and mentor team members, performing independently on routine and general assignments. We’re doing work that matters.
Experience Level
Senior - Lead-level role; typically requires 5+ years of IC design or related experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide technical support for digital IC design implementation, product demonstrations, and sales presentations.
- Drive RTL-to-GDSII design methodology for low-power and high-performance designs.
- Perform synthesis, low-power implementation (UPF / IEEE 1801 / CPF), DFT, and logic equivalence checking.
- Assist in technical evaluation and assessment of designs and tools.
- Lead and mentor other team members and work independently on routine assignments.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and competencies:
- Hands-on experience with synthesis flows and RTL-to-GDSII implementation for complex designs.
- Practical knowledge of low-power design techniques and flows (UPF, IEEE1801, CPF).
- Experience with DFT and logic equivalence checking.
- Working knowledge of one or more programming languages.
- Effective communication, problem-solving skills, and a professional work attitude; good English.
Nice-to-have:
- Familiarity with Genus/Joules or equivalent Cadence tools.
- Experience in multinational IC design houses.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree required (electronic engineering, computer science, or related technical field). Typically requires 5+ years of IC design or equivalent practical experience. A Master’s degree (MS) is a plus.
