Lead Application Engineer

Role Summary

Provide technical support and deployment enablement for customers in the Digital and Signoff Group. Focus on logical and physical implementation and signoff flows using tools such as Genus, Modus, Innovus, Conformal, and Tempus.

Work with customer engineering teams to reproduce issues, develop tests and solutions, and drive resolution to successful customer deployments.

Experience Level

Mid-level (3+ years of relevant industry experience expected).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

• Provide technical support and guidance to customers on synthesis, place-and-route, and signoff flows.
• Deploy and configure Cadence tools for customer use; validate and demonstrate workflows.
• Collaborate with customer engineering teams to reproduce issues, create test cases, and verify fixes.
• Develop and deliver technical solutions, workarounds, and documentation to resolve customer problems.
• Communicate clearly with customers and internal teams; escalate and track issues to closure.
• Contribute to customer success by sharing best practices and improving deployment processes.

Requirements

Key qualifications and skills:

• Exposure to synthesis or place-and-route methodologies and signoff timing analysis.
• Experience with microelectronics and/or EDA workflows, including front-end or back-end IC flows.
• Familiarity or interest in HDLs and logic design.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills and good problem-solving ability.
• Customer-facing experience and a focus on delivering practical, testable solutions.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Electrical Engineering or Computer Science. The posting specifies 3+ years of relevant industry experience.
