Lead Analog Design Engineer

Role Overview

This position is for a circuit designer focusing on high-precision custom circuit blocks within AMD’s microprocessor design team. This role entails working on various important Intellectual Property (IP) in the Digital and Analog/Mixed-Signal domains across multiple product lines. The team consists of experienced designers and recent graduates, fostering a competitive and innovative work environment.

Applicants should be well-versed in circuit design, showcasing strong communication abilities and thorough documentation practices. A proactive approach to innovation and efficiency is preferred.

Key Responsibilities

The selected candidate will:

• Take full ownership of individual circuit blocks in SerDes PHY design using cutting-edge FinFET technology.
• Oversee circuit design quality, layout, electrical analysis, timing analysis, and reliability checks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams such as RTL, Verification, and Physical Design.

Qualifications

Candidates should possess a solid understanding and hands-on experience in SerDes and DDR circuit designs in the latest technology nodes, including FinFET. Knowledge of power-performance trade-offs, design analysis phases, and the impact of variation on design performance is also expected.

Education Requirements

A Master’s degree in Electrical or Electronics Engineering, with a specialization in microelectronics or related fields, is desired.
