Layout Engineer

Role Summary

The Layout Engineer is responsible for understanding and applying layout guidelines for quality layout, as well as scheduling and completing layout tasks efficiently. The role involves collaboration within the library team and adapting to new methodologies.

Experience Level

Mid-level; minimum of 2 years of layout experience required.

Responsibilities

The Layout Engineer will oversee the following responsibilities:

• Understand and apply all necessary layout guidelines and process rules.
• Schedule timeline and layout floor-planning.
• Complete quality layout and verification within planned schedules.
• Quickly adapt to new methodologies and communicate effectively with team members.

Requirements

Key requirements for this position include:

• Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering.
• Minimum of 2 years layout experience.
• Experience with standard cells, full custom, and analog layout design.
• Proficient in Cadence Layout tools (VIRTUOSO) and CALIBRE verification tools.
• Strong layout knowledge in advanced processes (5nm, 3nm, 2nm).
• Knowledge of Script Programming and SKILL Programming is a plus.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electronics Engineering is required.
