Layout Design Senior Engineer

Role Summary

The Layout Design Senior Engineer will focus on developing layouts for next-generation DDR and HBM PHY IPs, utilizing advanced process technologies. This role involves collaboration within the Silicon IP group, working with experts to push boundaries in semiconductor technology.

Experience Level

Mid-level, requiring 2+ years of hands-on experience in IC layout development for advanced process nodes (7nm and below).

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include:

• Developing high-quality layouts for DDR and HBM PHY IPs using advanced CMOS, FinFET, and GAA process technologies.
• Designing layout floorplans, routing, and conducting physical verifications.
• Performing DRC, LVS, ERC, Antenna checks, ensuring compliance with quality requirements.
• Applying layout matching techniques and addressing ESD, latch-up, and EMIR issues.
• Collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams to optimize layouts.
• Troubleshooting layout challenges and improving methodologies.
• Documenting design flows and methodologies for knowledge sharing.

Requirements

The role requires:

• BTech/MTech degree in Electronics, Electrical, or a related field.
• 2+ years of experience in IC layout development for advanced process nodes.
• Expertise in DRC, LVS, ERC checks, and physical verification methodologies.
• Strong understanding of deep submicron effects and layout matching techniques.
• Proficiency with layout tools such as Cadence Virtuoso or Synopsys Custom Compiler.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a team setting.

Education Requirements

BTech/MTech degree in Electronics, Electrical, or related engineering discipline.
