Layout Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design and implement IC layouts for analog and mixed-signal designs, perform physical verification, and support tape-out activities. Work within the layout team and collaborate with design, application, assembly, and process engineers to ensure manufacturable, reliable layouts.

Responsibilities
Primary duties during the IC layout and tape-out cycle.
- Develop IC layout designs from schematics and guidance provided by analog designers.
- Perform physical verification including DRC and LVS checking and debugging.
- Participate in tape-out activities and support layout-related tasks throughout the design cycle.
- Collaborate with application, design, assembly and process engineers to resolve layout and manufacturability issues.
- Continuously improve layout skills and gain experience in BCD and mixed-signal technologies.

- Basic understanding of semiconductor devices and IC fabrication processes (must-have).
- Familiarity with IC layout concepts such as matching, shielding, guard rings, and reliability-aware practices (preferred).
- Experience with Cadence EDA tools and analog/mixed-signal circuits (preferred).
- Experience using AI tools or developing AI-assisted workflows for layout, verification, automation, or productivity improvements (strong plus).
- Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python, Skill, TCL, or Perl (preferred).
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or above in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Device Physics, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related field.
