Junior Software Engineer for Graphics
Role Summary
Develop GPU software drivers, frameworks and test automation for i.MX RT Crossover microcontrollers to support IoT and industrial graphics features. Work within the Graphics Technology Engineering Center (GTEC) driver team that enables graphics across i.MX application processors.
Experience Level
Entry-level (Junior).
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include developing GPU-related software and supporting customer needs.
- Develop and deliver qualified GPU software drivers and tools for i.MX RT Crossover MCUs.
- Enhance and maintain graphics frameworks (VGLite, OpenVG, littleVGL).
- Design and implement test automation for GPU software components.
- Provide customer feature implementation and technical support.
Requirements
Key skills and attributes required or desirable for the role.
Must-have:
- Experience programming and debugging in C/C++ on embedded systems running Linux, FreeRTOS, or Zephyr.
- Proficiency with scripting languages such as Python.
- Fluent English (read, write, speak).
- Reliable, security-aware working practices (role may involve security-related tasks and certifications).
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with IAR Embedded Workbench or ARM GCC toolchains.
- Interest in graphics stacks and embedded display frameworks.
- Good teamwork and willingness to learn and challenge existing solutions.
Education Requirements
University degree in Electronics and Telecommunications or Computer Science.
