Role Summary
Work in an R&D validation lab building test automation, collecting and analyzing measurement data, and debugging hardware using lab instrumentation. Collaborate with analog and digital designers to accelerate validation and improve hardware quality.
This is a hands-on engineering role focused on automation, data analysis, and test procedure development for hardware and IP products.
Experience Level
Entry-level (Junior). Typically suitable for early-career engineers, recent graduates, or candidates with internship/initial professional experience (0β3 years).
Responsibilities
Contribute to validation and verification activities by automating tests, processing data, and troubleshooting hardware.
- Develop and maintain test automation scripts to run validation sequences, collect measurements, and generate alerts.
- Analyze validation datasets to identify trends, anomalies, and performance characteristics.
- Apply or learn AI/ML techniques to improve processing and interpretation of large test datasets.
- Set up and debug hardware using oscilloscopes, network/spectrum analyzers, signal generators, and other lab instruments.
- Maintain data storage and database infrastructure supporting test data collection.
- Document test configurations, instrumentation connections, and validation procedures.
- Organize and present test results for engineering decision-making and continuous process improvement.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience for day-one contribution; listed items are concise requirements. Nice-to-have items are noted separately.
-
Must-have: Hands-on experience with electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, signal generators, network analyzers) from coursework, internships, or work.
-
Must-have: Ability to read and interpret board schematics and understand component/signal behavior.
-
Must-have: Programming or scripting experience (Python, MATLAB, or similar) for automation and data processing.
-
Must-have: Familiarity with data analysis libraries or workflows (for example, Pandas, NumPy) or exposure to machine learning concepts.
-
Must-have: Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and clear communication of technical findings.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience with digital design (Verilog or VHDL).
-
Nice-to-have: Experience maintaining test data infrastructure or databases to support large-scale validation campaigns.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a closely related technical field (the posting specifies Bachelor's or Master's degrees). No certifications were specified.
