IP Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Join Arm's Solution Engineering team to develop verification testbenches and test suites for IP used across Enterprise, Automotive, and Client markets. The role focuses on functional verification, debugging, and enabling reconfigurable IP features in close collaboration with design teams.
Primary duties include writing and executing test plans, implementing testbenches, and supporting integration to meet quality and schedule targets.

Responsibilities
The key responsibilities are:
- Write test plans and perform functional verification to meet required quality levels and schedules.
- Implement testbenches and develop automated test cases and test suites.
- Collaborate with design and verification engineers to review microarchitectural specifications and debug issues.
- Develop IP features that enable reconfigurable designs.
- Document verification results and provide support during integration and delivery.
- Act as a partner across teams to ensure solutions meet Arm standards.
Requirements
Must-have:
- Experience verifying complex subsystems or SoCs.
- Hands-on experience across verification stages: test plan creation, testbench implementation, test case development, documentation, and support.
- Familiarity with front-end verification tools and simulators, UPF, and debuggers (examples: Questa, VCS, JasperGold, Verdi).
- Knowledge of coverage methodologies including functional, toggle, and code coverage.
- Experience with reconfigurable IP or subsystem design.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Object-oriented programming concepts.
- Familiarity with ARM-based designs and ARM system architectures.
- Knowledge of OTP/Fuse usage models and JTAG/TAP protocols.
- Scripting experience (Perl, Python or similar).
- SoC system debug methodologies and DFT experience (RTL testability, scan insertion, OCC).
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field is required; advanced degrees (Master's/PhD) are acceptable.
