IP Verification Engineer
Role Summary
As an IP Verification Engineer on the AECG front-end design/integration team, you will verify FPGA and ASIC IP to achieve first-pass silicon success. You will collaborate with architects, IP designers, physical design, firmware and product engineers to define and execute verification strategies for complex IP blocks.

Mid-level. Years of experience not specified; role expects prior IP verification experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include planning and executing IP-level verification, developing testbenches, and debugging regressions.
- Collaborate with architects, hardware and firmware engineers to capture features and verification scope.
- Develop verification plans covering interactions with hardware, firmware and software drivers.
- Design and implement IP/subsystem-level UVM-based testbenches and verification components (monitors, scoreboards, checkers).
- Create directed and random verification tests and run regression suites.
- Debug test failures and drive issues to resolution to ensure functional and performance quality.
- Work toward first-pass silicon success through thorough verification and cross-team coordination.
Requirements
Must-have skills and core qualifications followed by desirable experience.
- Must-have: Expert in SystemVerilog and Verilog with strong object-oriented programming skills.
- Proven experience developing UVM-based verification frameworks and testbenches.
- Proficient in IP-level verification including directed and random testing and regression management.
- Strong debugging skills and experience improving simulation/verification quality.
- Proficient scripting skills (Python or Perl) for automation and tooling.
- Good computer architecture and systems knowledge.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work across sites and time zones.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with PCIe, CXL, NVMe or Ethernet protocols.
- Experience applying AI to verification automation.
- Exposure to simulation profiling, acceleration and HLS tools/processes.
- Proven technical leadership through project lifecycle to tape-out.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Engineering or Electrical Engineering.
