IP Program Management & Quality Intern (Jan–Jun 2027)
Role Summary
Support IP program management, quality assurance, and data-driven reporting for internal and third-party semiconductor IP portfolios. Work with IP lifecycle processes, quality management activities, and digital reporting tools within a cross-functional engineering and operations environment.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship (student role). Typically a current undergraduate or graduate student seeking short-term internship experience.
Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities and project tasks include:
- Support end-to-end IP lifecycle activities from onboarding to release and maintenance.
- Maintain IP records, catalog information, and identification databases.
- Prepare project status reports, dashboards, and management review materials.
- Execute IP quality compliance processes and track quality milestones.
- Assist in audit preparation, process documentation, and QMS tasks.
- Validate and verify data integrity across engineering systems.
- Develop Power BI dashboards and automate reporting workflows (Excel, Power Automate, scripting).
- Perform data mining and analytics to identify trends, risks, and improvement opportunities.
- Create templates, training materials, and propose process simplifications or automations.
- Deliver a defined internship project and present findings to management.
Requirements
Must-have skills and attributes for successful performance in this internship:
- Familiarity with data analysis tools such as Excel, Power BI, SQL, or Python.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently within a cross-functional team and communicate clearly.
- Experience or interest in automation and scripting for reporting workflows.
- Comfort building dashboards and presenting executive summaries.
Nice-to-have / preferred:
- Understanding of semiconductor design or manufacturing processes.
- Experience with EDA tools, Power Automate, Copilot Studio, or dashboarding best practices.
- Familiarity with tools such as Kiro or Chip Nexus.
- Experience with AI-assisted development, workflow automation, or ML/LLM concepts.
Education Requirements
Pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Semiconductor Technology, Industrial Engineering, Data Analytics, Business Analytics, or a closely related field.
