Role Summary

Full-time internship at NXP Austria in Gratkorn supporting validation, automation, software, hardware and tooling efforts for post-silicon validation and measurement automation. Work will be embedded with validation and engineering teams to develop test sequences, Python tools, measurement automation, and hardware interfaces.

Assignments may include security-related tasks and require reliable, methodical work.

Experience Level

Entry-level (internship). Intended for students; no prior professional experience required.

Responsibilities

Tasks vary by interest; you will support validation, automation, software and hardware activities, including:

• Develop and debug post-silicon validation applications and automated validation sequences (NI TestStand).
• Create Python applications, automation scripts, device drivers, and measurement workflows; post-process, analyze, and visualize measurement data.
• Contribute to validation tools and infrastructure, prototype DUT communication solutions, and improve engineering workflows.
• Apply software engineering and DevOps practices: Git-based source control, Jenkins CI/CD, containerization, and automated build/test/deploy workflows.
• Design and support PCB and hardware interfaces for automated validation setups (Altium Designer).

Requirements

Must-have skills and attributes:

• Basic knowledge of electrical laboratory measurements.
• Solution-oriented, self-driven and proactive; integrative team player.
• Willingness and ability to learn new tools and technologies quickly.
• Solid German and English skills (conversation and writing).
• Valid work authorization required for assignment in Austria.
• Ability to perform security-related tasks conscientiously and reliably.

Education Requirements

Enrolled at FH Joanneum with ongoing studies in Electronics and Computer Engineering. This role is a compulsory/full-time internship placement for FH Joanneum students.
