Job Title

Internship - Analog Mixed-Signal Design

Role Summary

Infineon seeks an intern to contribute to analog and mixed-signal IC design projects within a development team focused on power and low-power analog blocks. The role involves circuit design, simulation, silicon characterization, and automation support in a lab and design environment.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship. Intended for current graduate students with limited professional experience (student intern).

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include design, verification, and lab validation of analog mixed-signal circuits and supporting team workflows.

  • Contribute to analog and mixed-signal IC design, simulation, and verification.
  • Design and analyze operational amplifiers; perform stability analysis and compensation.
  • Design low-power circuits (e.g., LDOs, buck converters) to meet energy and performance targets.
  • Characterize silicon in the lab and debug discrepancies against specifications.
  • Automate design workflows and data analysis using scripting (Python, Perl, TCL, Shell).
  • Participate in design reviews and collaborate with cross-functional team members.

Requirements

Minimum skills and attributes expected for success in this internship.

  • Demonstrable proficiency in analog IC design, including operational amplifier theory and low-power design principles.
  • Hands-on experience with circuit simulation and verification tools (analog/mixed-signal EDA tools implied).
  • Ability to write scripts for automation and analysis (Python, Perl, TCL, Shell).
  • Practical lab skills for silicon bring-up and debugging are beneficial.
  • Strong communication, teamwork, adaptability, and eagerness to learn.

Education Requirements

Currently enrolled in an M.S. program in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
