Job Title

Internship - Analog Mixed-Signal Design

Role Summary

Internship on an analog/mixed-signal IC design team working on design, simulation, verification and silicon characterization of analog blocks and power-management circuits.

The role involves hands-on circuit design, lab bring-up and scripting to support design and verification tasks within a collaborative engineering team.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship; intended for students (graduate-level preferred). No specific years of prior industry experience required.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include design, verification, and characterization tasks to support analog/mixed-signal IC projects.

  • Contribute to analog and mixed-signal IC design, simulation and verification.
  • Design and analyze operational amplifiers; perform stability and compensation analysis.
  • Design low-power circuits such as LDOs and buck converters for energy-efficient applications.
  • Perform silicon lab characterization and debug to verify performance versus specifications.
  • Develop and use scripts (Python, Perl, TCL, Shell) to automate workflows and data analysis.
  • Participate in design reviews, team meetings and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and traits for a successful internship candidate.

  • Proficiency in analog IC design and operational amplifier theory.
  • Experience or coursework in low-power circuit techniques and power-management topologies.
  • Hands-on experience or familiarity with lab characterization and debugging of silicon.
  • Ability to write and use scripts for automation and data processing (Python, TCL, Perl, Shell).
  • Strong teamwork, communication skills, and willingness to learn.

Education Requirements

Currently enrolled in an M.S. program in Electrical Engineering or a related field (graduate student). Related technical fields acceptable. The posting indicates student status is required; no alternative degree equivalence was specified.
