Internship - Analog Mixed-Signal Design
Role Summary
Work on analog and mixed-signal integrated circuit design within a product engineering team. The role focuses on circuit design, simulation, silicon characterization, and automation to support development of power- and signal-processing ICs.
Experience Level
Entry-level (Internship). Intended for students or recent graduates; role targets current M.S. students in relevant engineering fields.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include design, verification, and lab support for analog/mixed-signal circuits.
- Design, simulate, and verify analog and mixed-signal IC blocks.
- Apply operational amplifier theory, perform stability analysis, and implement compensation techniques.
- Design low-power circuits such as LDOs and buck converters to meet power and performance targets.
- Characterize and debug silicon in the lab to verify performance against specifications.
- Develop scripts and automation using Python, Perl, TCL, or Shell to streamline workflows and data analysis.
- Participate in team design reviews and collaborate on technical problem solving.
Requirements
Minimum technical skills and attributes required for the role.
- Proficiency in analog IC design, including operational amplifier concepts and low-power design principles.
- Practical experience with silicon characterization and debugging workflows.
- Ability to write and use scripts for automation and data analysis (Python, Perl, TCL, Shell).
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
- Motivation to learn and adapt to changing engineering challenges.
Education Requirements
Currently enrolled in an M.S. program in Electrical Engineering or a related field (student status expected).
