Job Title

Internship - Analog Mixed-Signal Design

Role Summary

Short-term internship on an analog/mixed-signal IC design team focused on design, simulation, verification, silicon characterization and lab debug. You will work with engineers to develop low-power analog building blocks and support tapeout and bring-up activities.

Experience Level

Entry-level (internship). Intended for current graduate students or early-career candidates; no specific years of industry experience required.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include design, verification, and lab validation of analog mixed-signal circuits, plus automation of design workflows.

  • Contribute to analog and mixed-signal IC design: schematic design, simulation and verification.
  • Design and analyze operational amplifiers; perform stability and compensation analysis.
  • Design low-power circuits such as LDOs and buck converters to meet energy and performance targets.
  • Characterize and debug silicon in the lab; verify device performance against specifications.
  • Develop and use scripts (Python, Perl, TCL, Shell) to automate design flows and data analysis.
  • Participate in team design reviews, document results, and collaborate on problem solving.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes for successful contribution during the internship.

  • Proficiency in analog IC design and operational amplifier theory.
  • Practical knowledge of low-power design techniques and power-management circuits.
  • Hands-on experience with silicon characterization and lab debug procedures.
  • Ability to write and maintain automation/scripts using Python, Perl, TCL, or Shell.
  • Strong communication skills, willingness to learn, and ability to work in a team environment.

Education Requirements

Currently enrolled in an M.S. program in Electrical Engineering or a related field (graduate student). No alternative degree/certification language provided.
