Job Title

Internship - Analog Mixed-Signal Design

Role Summary

Intern position on an analog/mixed-signal IC design team contributing to design, simulation, verification and silicon bring-up. Work areas include operational amplifiers, low-power LDOs and buck converters, silicon characterization, and scripting for workflow automation.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Internship). This role is intended for students or early-career engineers; candidate is expected to be actively enrolled in a graduate program per the posting.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities for the internship include:

  • Design, simulate, and verify analog and mixed-signal integrated circuits.
  • Apply operational amplifier theory, perform stability analysis, and implement compensation techniques.
  • Design and analyze low-power circuits such as LDOs and buck converters.
  • Perform silicon characterization and lab debugging to verify performance against specifications.
  • Develop and use scripts (Python, Perl, TCL, Shell) to automate design workflows and data analysis.
  • Participate in design reviews, team meetings, and collaborative problem-solving activities.

Requirements

Key skills and experience required or strongly preferred.

  • Must-have: Proficiency in analog IC design, including operational amplifier theory and low-power design principles.
  • Must-have: Familiarity with silicon characterization and debugging in a lab environment.
  • Must-have: Ability to use scripting languages for automation (Python, Perl, TCL, Shell).
  • Nice-to-have: Prior hands-on experience with LDO or switching regulator design and verification flows.
  • Personal: Eager to learn, adaptable, team-oriented, and effective communicator.

Education Requirements

Currently enrolled in an M.S. program in Electrical Engineering or a related field (student status required). No other degree or certification language is specified in the posting.
