Job Title

Internship - Analog Mixed-Signal Design

Role Summary

Paid internship on an analog/mixed-signal IC design team. The intern will support design, simulation, verification and lab characterization of analog and low-power circuits, and help automate design and analysis tasks.

Work involves contributing to real product development activities under mentor supervision and participating in design reviews and team collaboration.

Experience Level

Entry-level (internship). Targeted at current graduate students or early-career applicants with relevant coursework or project experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Contribute to analog and mixed-signal IC design, simulation, and verification.
  • Design and analyze operational amplifiers; perform stability and compensation analysis.
  • Design low-power circuits such as LDOs and buck converters.
  • Perform silicon characterization, lab measurements, and debug to verify performance against specs.
  • Develop and apply scripts (Python, Perl, TCL, Shell) to automate workflows and data analysis.
  • Participate in design reviews, team meetings, and collaborative problem solving.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and attributes:

  • Practical knowledge of analog IC design, operational amplifier theory, and low-power design principles.
  • Familiarity with scripting for automation and data analysis (Python, Perl, TCL, Shell).
  • Ability to work in a team, communicate clearly, and adapt to project requirements.
  • Eagerness to learn and take direction from mentors; attention to detail in lab and simulation work.

Education Requirements

Currently enrolled in an M.S. program in Electrical Engineering or a closely related technical field (or equivalent ongoing graduate-level study).

Additional information

Compensation range: $23.50 to $42.50 per hour (depends on highest level of education completed).

Employment is subject to verification of the right to work in the United States and may require background check and drug test.
