Intern - STPG Product, NAND

Role Summary

Full-time engineering internship within NAND Product Engineering focused on product validation, characterization, and electrical failure analysis. The intern will perform bench testing, analyze electrical test data, and support evaluations of product changes and failure cases under the guidance of product engineers.

The role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to produce technical findings that inform validation and quality improvements.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship. Full-time, fixed-term (5 months: Jan–May 2027).

Responsibilities

Key project tasks and deliverables:

• Plan and execute defined NAND validation and characterization experiments using bench equipment and engineering tools.
• Perform hands-on bench testing and collect, process, and analyze electrical test data.
• Evaluate post-qualification product changes through test execution and data comparison.
• Investigate selected customer-return or system-failure cases and characterize electrical failure signatures.
• Identify performance marginalities and recommend data-driven validation or quality improvements.
• Develop or enhance automation scripts/tools to improve analysis efficiency and repeatability.
• Document validation methodology, prepare a structured analysis of results, and present a final technical report.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred skills for successful completion of the internship (education requirements are listed separately below).

• Must-have: Basic knowledge of semiconductor or electronic-device physics and electrical measurement concepts.
• Must-have: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to interpret test data and draw technical conclusions.
• Must-have: Clear written and verbal communication; ability to prepare technical documentation and present findings.
• Must-have: Availability to commit full time for the specified 5-month internship period (Jan–May 2027).
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with data analysis or programming (Python, C, C++), scripting, or automation tools to support analysis workflows.
• Nice-to-have: Exposure to semiconductor test equipment, validation methodologies, or electrical failure-analysis techniques.
• Nice-to-have: Experience using AI-enabled tools for data exploration or productivity is advantageous but not required.

Education Requirements

Pursuing a relevant engineering degree (e.g., Bachelor's in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Microelectronics, Semiconductor Engineering, or a related engineering discipline).
