Micron TechnologyJob Title
Intern - NAND Product Development Engineer
Role Summary
This is a full-time, paid internship in the NAND Product Development Engineering group at Micron's Fab 10N/X in Singapore. The intern will develop an AI-enabled solution (an agent) to identify project risks, recommend mitigations, and integrate with engineering workflows under mentor supervision.
Experience Level
Entry-level (Internship). Intended for current students or equivalent early-career candidates. No prior years-of-experience requirement specified; full-time 5-month commitment (Jan–May 2027) expected.
Responsibilities
Work on an engineering project to design, prototype, and evaluate an AI agent and its integration with NAND product-development workflows.
- Study NAND product-development and project-execution workflows to define requirements.
- Design and implement AI applications, intelligent agents, or automated workflows for risk detection and mitigation.
- Apply Large Language Models, Agentic AI frameworks, AI-assisted development tools, and data-analytics techniques.
- Prototype and evaluate solutions for accuracy, usability, and productivity impact using defined metrics.
- Integrate the prototype with selected AI tools, data sources, or engineering workflows.
- Collaborate with Product Development Engineers and stakeholders to validate results and iterate on the design.
- Produce technical documentation covering methodology, results, limitations, and recommendations.
Requirements
Key skills and attributes required or strongly preferred for successful completion of the project.
- Must-have: Knowledge of artificial intelligence concepts, generative AI, large language models, or data analytics.
- Must-have: Strong analytical and problem-solving ability, plus clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Must-have: Ability to collaborate with engineers and stakeholders and to learn independently under mentor guidance.
- Must-have: Availability to commit full time for the 5-month internship period (Jan–May 2027).
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with programming and software development (e.g., scripting or higher-level languages), AI-assisted development tools, Agentic AI frameworks, or experience with data pipelines and evaluation metrics.
- Nice-to-have: Prior exposure to semiconductor engineering or product-development workflows.
Education Requirements
Pursuing a degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, or a related technical field. Equivalent practical/academic qualifications are acceptable.
