Intern - MSB Test Engineering
Role Summary
This is a full-time internship within Micron's Test Engineering group supporting Electrical Failure Analysis and Physical Failure Analysis. The intern will develop a digital or AI-enabled solution to improve failure analysis workflows, laboratory visibility, and engineering decision-making.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship. No prior professional experience required; suitable for undergraduate students pursuing a relevant bachelor’s degree.
Responsibilities
The intern will execute a defined project focused on laboratory digitalisation and AI-enabled failure analysis improvements. Key responsibilities include:
- Analyze laboratory operational metrics, turnaround-time trends, and engineering datasets.
- Design and develop dashboards, automation tools, or knowledge-management solutions for failure analysis workflows.
- Prototype AI, generative AI, or AI assistant tools for knowledge retrieval, reporting, and workflow efficiency.
- Collaborate with Test Engineering stakeholders to gather requirements and validate solutions.
- Deliver final documentation, a presentation of findings, and an assessment of productivity or visibility improvements.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and availability:
- Basic programming skills (Python, SQL, or similar).
- Familiarity with data analytics and data visualization tools.
- Experience or interest in automation and workflow development.
- Interest in Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, and generative AI applications.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Copilot and workflow platforms is advantageous.
- Available to commit to a full-time, on-site internship for five months (Jan–Jun 2027).
- Work location: on-site at Micron Singapore (Bendemeer).
Education Requirements
Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field of study.
