Intern - HBM Design Development Technical Leadership (DDTL)

Role Summary

The intern will support planning, execution, and coordination of next-generation High Bandwidth Memory (HBM) product development programs. The role partners with technical leaders and cross-functional engineering teams to track project execution, manage risks, analyze program data, and improve engineering productivity through automation, analytics, and AI-enabled workflows.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship. 0–2 years of relevant experience through internships, research projects, academic projects, leadership activities, or related engineering experience.

Responsibilities

Support technical program execution across the HBM product lifecycle and improve transparency and productivity through tools and analysis.

• Track schedules, milestones, dependencies, technical risks, and design readiness across the development lifecycle.
• Coordinate deliverables and monitor project status with multi-functional engineering teams.
• Develop dashboards, reports, data analytics solutions, and executive summaries to report program health and KPIs.
• Create automation tools, workflow improvements, and AI-assisted solutions to improve productivity and decision-making.
• Analyze project and engineering data to identify trends, risks, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience for successful contribution to technical program execution.

• Strong analytical, organizational, problem-solving, and written/verbal communication skills.
• Basic understanding of semiconductor, hardware, system development, or engineering project lifecycles.
• Experience with spreadsheets, presentation software, data analysis, and reporting tools.
• Programming or scripting experience (examples: Python, C/C++, Tcl, Perl, or similar).
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate effectively across diverse technical teams.
• Demonstrated experience or interest in using AI-enabled tools and large language models (e.g., Copilot, Claude, ChatGPT) to improve productivity and analysis.

Preferred / Nice-to-have:

• Knowledge of memory technologies and semiconductor development (DRAM, DDR, LPDDR, HBM, ASIC, FPGA, SoC).
• Exposure to RTL design, verification, physical design, timing analysis, CAD flows, or silicon validation.
• Experience developing automation tools, dashboards, or data-visualization applications (Python or similar).
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix environments and semiconductor engineering methodologies.
• Prior internship, research, or project experience involving complex technical programs or semiconductor development.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Engineering Management, or a related technical field.
