Intern - FDV/PCV, NAND Product Engineering
Micron TechnologyJob Title
Intern - FDV/PCV, NAND Product Engineering
Role Summary
Temporary engineering internship supporting NAND product validation and characterization during post-silicon bring-up. Work with product engineering, design, manufacturing, test vendors, and firmware teams to design tests, run high-speed tester validations, analyze results, and drive issues to closure.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship (early career).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on validating and characterizing NAND devices and features across silicon bring-up and customer systems.
- Support end-to-end validation projects: planning, test development, execution, analysis, and issue closure during post-silicon phase.
- Design test algorithms and develop test programs for NAND features, commands, timings, and currents.
- Characterize, debug, and validate NAND against datasheet specs and in customer designs/systems.
- Use high-speed tester hardware for functional and design validation; perform device electrical characterization and failure analysis on bench and tester.
- Analyze large data sets to quantify design margin and functionality.
- Assist design bring-up, reticle experiments, and firmware changes as needed.
- Collaborate with product engineering, manufacturing, tester vendors, design engineering, and reliability/wafer-backend teams.
- Leverage AI tools and AI-assisted coding techniques to automate workflows and improve efficiency.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and professional abilities for successful performance in this internship.
- Keen interest in semiconductor design validation and device characterization.
- Knowledge of semiconductor device physics and characterization techniques.
- Proficiency in software development and scripting (examples: C, Python, Perl).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
- Effective written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
- Organizational skills and attention to detail for test planning and execution.
- Data analysis skills for large measurement datasets.
- Nice-to-have: familiarity with simulation tools (e.g., Verilog, Synopsys VCS), experience with high-speed test equipment, prior validation/characterization experience, and experience applying AI tools to automation.
Education Requirements
