Intern - F10 ADTS ATE Dry Etch
Role Summary
Internship within Advanced Device Technology and Systems (Advanced Technology Enablement Dry Etch, F10) to apply data analytics and AI-enabled methods to dry etch process and equipment performance. The role supports process engineers by analyzing manufacturing and equipment data, identifying performance gaps, and producing data-driven improvement recommendations.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship. Candidates should be able to commit to a full-time internship of at least 5 months.
Responsibilities
Work with cross-functional engineering and equipment teams to analyze data, identify issues, and deliver actionable recommendations.
- Analyze manufacturing, equipment, SPC, utilization, fault, metrology, and inline measurement data to identify trends and performance gaps.
- Identify sources of process variation, performance drift, productivity loss, and yield impact.
- Evaluate potential improvements to process recipes, hardware, or control strategies using data-driven methods.
- Correlate process, metrology, and equipment datasets to generate engineering insights.
- Develop dashboards, scripts, or visualizations for monitoring and AI-enabled insight generation.
- Prototype AI-enabled approaches for pattern identification and accelerated analysis.
- Document methods, results, and recommendations; deliver a final presentation summarizing findings.
- Collaborate with process and equipment engineers to translate analysis into implementable actions.
Requirements
Key skills and commitments required for successful completion of the project.
- Strong analytical thinking and structured problem-solving ability.
- Basic hands-on experience with Python and Structured Query Language (SQL); familiarity with data-analysis tools (Excel, JMP) or visualization tools.
- Practical understanding of statistical analysis and data visualization concepts.
- Interest in semiconductor manufacturing, dry etch technology, or process engineering.
- Willingness to learn and apply AI-enabled workflows and AI assistants for data analysis.
- Available full-time for at least 5 months and able to work onsite in Singapore.
- Nice-to-have: prior exposure to dashboarding, scripting for automation, or experience correlating process and equipment data.
Education Requirements
Pursuing a bachelor's or equivalent degree in Chemical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Engineering, Data Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field; equivalent practical experience in a relevant technical discipline may be acceptable.
