Intern - Engineering (Device Software and Test)

Role Summary

Internship on the Device Software and Test team based in Chandler, AZ. The role supports development of test automation, data analysis, and device characterization for semiconductor test flows.

Experience Level

Entry-level intern position suitable for students; no prior professional experience required.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include test-code development, data handling, and collaboration with engineering teams.

• Develop and maintain Python test code and data-analysis scripts.
• Create data visualizations and support automation of test-data flows from equipment to web systems.
• Modify and improve data-analysis routines used for parametric and reliability testing.
• Use AI tools and Python to enhance analysis and testing workflows.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project objectives.
• Learn and operate various software platforms (e.g., Windows XP, DOS, Linux, SunOS) and TD lab test procedures.

Requirements

Core technical skills and work habits required; desirable skills listed separately.

• Must-have: Strong Python programming skills and experience applying AI tools to data analysis.
• Must-have: Experience with data analysis and visualization; familiar with statistical methods.
• Must-have: Self-starter able to work with minimal supervision and collaborate in team settings.
• Nice-to-have: Experience with Java or C#.
• Nice-to-have: Familiarity with semiconductor circuits and National Instruments hardware.
• No travel required; primarily indoor lab/office work with mostly sitting and some standing/walking.

Education Requirements

Enrollment in a Bachelor's or Master's degree program in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field (e.g., Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics) is expected.
