Intern - DRAM Customer Enablement Engineering

Role Summary

The intern will support the DRAM Customer Enablement team in platform bring-up, validation, data analysis, automation, and customer enablement activities for Micron DRAM technologies. Work is cross-functional with hardware, firmware, systems, validation, and analytics engineers.

This is a hands-on engineering internship focused on practical testing, scripting, and technical problem solving on server, client, and mobile platforms.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship for students currently pursuing an undergraduate or graduate technical degree. No prior full-time industry experience required; internship/project experience is expected.

Responsibilities

Key day-to-day responsibilities include platform testing, data analysis, and automation development.

  • Support bring-up, validation, characterization, and debugging of server, client, and mobile platforms using Micron DRAM technologies.
  • Analyze engineering and customer data to identify performance trends, reliability concerns, and system-level insights; produce dashboards, visualizations, and technical reports.
  • Develop and enhance test automation, tooling, and reporting using Python and other software tools.
  • Use AI-assisted development tools to support software development, debugging, documentation, and workflow automation.
  • Collaborate with multi-functional engineering teams to investigate memory reliability, fault management, customer issues, and next-generation DRAM features.

Requirements

  • Must-have: Programming experience in Python, C/C++, or a similar language through coursework, projects, research, or prior internships.
  • Must-have: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills demonstrated via academic or technical projects.
  • Must-have: Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team and communicate technical concepts clearly in writing and verbally.
  • Must-have: Willingness to learn new technologies, including AI-assisted development tools and modern engineering workflows.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with Python development in Linux environments, data analysis, visualization, SQL, or cloud platforms.
  • Nice-to-have: Coursework or project exposure to computer architecture, memory systems, semiconductor devices, server hardware, validation, performance benchmarking, or RAS concepts.

Education Requirements

Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related technical field. The posting explicitly requires students who are actively enrolled in a relevant degree program.
