Intern - Digital Design/Verification Engineer
Role Summary
As an intern on the ASIC/SoC digital design and verification team in Shanghai, you will participate in the full ASIC development flow and support validation and post-silicon bring-up. The role covers microarchitecture specification, RTL implementation, verification, synthesis, timing and power analysis, and DFT activities.
Experience Level
Entry-level (Intern). Typical experience: less than 2 years or current student/early-career candidate.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Participate in ASIC IP and SoC digital design and verification across the development flow.
- Contribute to microarchitecture specification and RTL implementation.
- Develop and execute design verification plans and testbenches.
- Support synthesis, timing closure, and power estimation efforts.
- Implement and validate DFT features.
- Assist validation and software teams and support post-silicon bring-up and testing.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience (or equivalent practical experience):
- Understanding of digital design principles and RTL implementation.
- Familiarity with ASIC design flow elements: verification, synthesis, timing closure, power analysis, and DFT.
- Experience with simulation/verification tools and FPGA workflows (e.g., ModelSim).
- Basic scripting skills (Python) and working knowledge of Linux.
- Strong debugging and collaboration skills to work with validation and software teams.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with MATLAB and Ethernet/system testing.
- Exposure to post-silicon bring-up or hardware validation activities.
