Role Summary

Join the Digital SoC Design team in Sophia-Antipolis to contribute to Design-for-Test (DFT) automation for SoCs. The role focuses on automating DFT integration and verification flows using scripting and AI techniques within a semiconductor design environment.

Experience Level

Entry-level (Internship).

Responsibilities

The internship project centers on automating DFT processes for system-on-chip designs and delivering a documented, maintainable flow.

• Analyze the CAD/EDA environment and identify automation opportunities for DFT integration.
• Develop scripts and AI-assisted tools to automate DFT IP integration into SoCs or subsystems.
• Automate verification of DFT integration (simulation-based and flow checks).
• Release, document and maintain the developed DFT automation flow.
• Collaborate with cross-functional team members in an international environment and communicate technical results.

Requirements

Essential technical skills and personal attributes for the role.

• Must-have: RTL design and simulation experience using Verilog.
• Must-have: Good understanding of digital logic design and semiconductor fundamentals.
• Must-have: Familiarity with Design-for-Test (DFT) concepts.
• Must-have: Practical scripting/programming skills (Python, Tcl, Perl).
• Must-have: Strong analytical skills, self-motivation, and ability to work in a team.
• Must-have: Good verbal and written communication in French and English.
• Nice-to-have: Exposure to production test methodologies and EDA/CAD tools.
• Nice-to-have: Experience applying AI or automation techniques to design flows and SoC integration.

Education Requirements

Currently enrolled in a Master's program (MSc) in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field (Master's-level student). Equivalent technical experience may be considered.
