Intern - ADTS PEE Dry Etch
Micron TechnologyJob Title
Intern - ADTS PEE Dry Etch
Role Summary
Work as an intern on a project to reduce cumulative error variation in advanced-technology staircase and chop dry etch processes. The role sits within process engineering/data teams and focuses on analyzing manufacturing and measurement data, developing data-driven control strategies, and recommending process improvements to improve inline stability and yield.
Experience Level
Entry-level internship. Candidate should be currently enrolled in a relevant degree program and available for a full-time internship of at least five months.
Responsibilities
Project-focused tasks and deliverables related to process variation reduction and control strategy development.
- Understand measurement methodology and process mechanisms defining cumulative error in the staircase formation loop.
- Analyze process and measurement data to identify sources of cumulative error variation.
- Apply statistical analysis and data visualization to evaluate relationships between process conditions and performance.
- Develop and propose control strategies or process improvements to reduce variation and improve inline stability.
- Create data visualizations and a source-of-variation analysis summarizing key findings.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineers and present final project results to department leadership.
Requirements
Key qualifications and skills for successful contribution to the project. Education fields are summarized separately below.
- Must-have: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; familiarity with statistical analysis and data visualization; interest in semiconductor manufacturing and dry etch processes; ability to commit to a full-time internship for at least five months.
- Must-have: Ability to work with engineering teams and communicate technical findings clearly.
- Nice-to-have: Experience with Python, R, SQL, JMP, or similar data-analysis tools.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with machine learning or AI-enabled workflows.
Education Requirements
